The Process
First we dig down to allow enough room for the compacted gravel base. We then put in edging restraints to hold the bricks in place. After this we put a layer of bedding sand for the pavers to nest into. Next we start laying bricks in the designed pattern. After this the whole area is compacted, masons' sand is added to create a tight bond between the bricks and the edging. Throughout the whole process a lot of compacting goes on to ensure that the bricks will not shift and settle over time.
